Free for every Singapore student
Every JC2 student deserves the same exam prep.
ExamExplained is a free study library for SG-A-LEVEL, SG-O-LEVEL and SG-N-LEVEL. It exists because AI-grade exam help should be a public good, not a paid privilege.
Why we exist
A private tutor in Singapore costs around $100 an hour, and paid AI study tools charge $20 to $30 a month. Most JC2families cannot reach that, and the students who can't fall behind for a reason that has nothing to do with how hard they work. That gap has been getting wider, not smaller.
So instead of building another paid product, we built this site. The whole library - guides, syllabus dot point answers, ATAR calculators, mock exams, past paper walkthroughs - is free. Forever. No paywall, no signup, no email gate.
One hour with a private tutor costs more than a year of access here.
How the content is made
We point Claude Opus 4.8, Anthropic's latest AI, at the published SEAB, SEAB and SEAB syllabus documents, every past paper from the last several years, and every published marking guide. Claude drafts the guides, dot point answers and quizzes from that material. Each draft is validated against a schema (frontmatter, structure, depth, working cross-links) before it ships.
What we trade off: pages are AI-written, not individually human-reviewed. We made that call deliberately. A single human tutor can write maybe one strong Maths Advanced guide a week, then needs another month for Biology, and the result is the pattern everywhere else: a few strong guides, thin coverage on every other subject. Pointing the best available AI at the whole problem is how this site can cover all of SG-A-LEVEL, SG-O-LEVEL and SG-N-LEVEL in depth.
The cost is that you should treat any specific date, statistic, scaling figure or syllabus code as a starting point: always check the official authority (SEAB, SEAB and SEAB) when it matters for your mark. If you spot a mistake, the page is corrected at the same URL with a fresh last-updated date.
We are not selling AI tutoring. There is no chatbot on this site. The AI writes the content, and you read it. That is the whole stack.

What it costs you
Nothing. No signup, no account, no email required to read the site. The pages are pre-built and delivered as static files. Your study state - bookmarks, planner, quiz attempts - lives in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data clears the lot.
What does leave the browser, narrowly and on purpose: anonymous crash envelopes to Sentry when something throws an error, cookieless page-view counts and click events to PostHog (EU Cloud) so we can see which topics need more work, and form submissions to our intake API when you choose to write to us from /get-help or /pilot-feedback. Those submissions land in a private Supabase table and trigger an email notification to our team.
See the full privacy notice for the line-by-line breakdown.
If you want a real person
The site is the whole product, but if you or your family decide you want personalised help (a study plan, feedback on a draft, a question answered), the single place for that is /get-help. It's free and opt-in. We never make you do that to use the site.
What you'll find on the site
- State hubs for SG-A-LEVEL, SG-O-LEVEL, and SG-N-LEVEL.
- Subject hubs and dot point answers mapped to every public syllabus point, with worked past exam questions.
- Deep guides and quizzes for English, Maths Advanced, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Modern History and (growing) Methods and Specialist.
What you won't find
We don't write essays for students. We don't generate model responses for your specific graded school assessments. We don't run a chatbot. Every URL is a pre-built, pre-reviewed page that is the same for every visitor and ready before you arrive.
